Mediation
In a mediation proceeding, you retain a third party neutral who helps you work with your spouse to identify and implement solutions that are mutually beneficial. Mediation can be less expensive and can produce results that require less effort to enforce.
Arbitration
In arbitration, you retain a private decision-maker to determine custody, visitation, child support, alimony and the distribution of debts and assets. The proceeding has more privacy than litigation, but is less cooperative than mediation or collaborative divorce and does not afford you access to the power of the court.
Litigation
In the traditional process, you are represented by counsel, who makes arguments on your behalf to a judge, who ultimately decides all matters involving custody, visitation, support and the distribution of property. By following the traditional path, you automatically become eligible for support from the date of the filing and can always seek the intervention of the court if your spouse fails to comply with court orders or requests to produce information.

- Child Custody and Visitation: I will help you establish and implement custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your children while protecting your rights as a parent.
- Child Support: In New Jersey, child support is determined by applying a formula found in the child support guidelines. I will help ensure that the formula is property calculated and that all relevant income is fairly considered.
- Spousal Support: I will work with you to determine whether spousal support is appropriate and, if so, help you determine the correct amount, frequency and duration of payments.
- Property Division: I will protect your interests when dividing marital property, including real property, investments, retirement funds and business assets
